Dr. Jeffrey Faulkner graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with Honors in Mathematics, received a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Baylor College of Dentistry and his M.D. from the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston Texas in 1995. After internship training in General Surgery at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center he graduated from the Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency training program at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington D.C.
Dr. Faulkner and his family moved to Floresville in 2002, when he was appointed the Chief of Otolaryngology at Brooke Army Medical Center and Associate Program Director for Otolaryngology for the San Antonio Military Medical Consortium. He culminated his military career as the Chief of the Division of Surgery at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany, receiving the Legion of Merit for his contributions to the Army.
With experience gained from deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, Dr. Faulkner has written three book chapters and several articles on the management of craniofacial trauma and is an invited speaker at multiple international conferences. He is a Fellow in the American Board of Otolaryngology, a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the Society of Military Otolaryngologists, the American Dental Association, the Texas Association of Otolaryngologists and the Special Operations Medical Association. Dr. Faulkner practices a broad spectrum of General Otolaryngology with special experience in facial trauma and reconstruction. Although no longer on active duty, Dr. Faulkner is part of a team of educators training NATO medical leaders in techniques for responding to medical emergencies in time of war and natural disaster. He also continues to provide assistance with the European Regional Medical Command in Telemedicine. Dr. Faulkner and his wife, Cindy, reside in Floresville Texas and are active members of the community.
