We were up and at it early Saturday morning preparing ourselves a little bit for the upcoming Hammerfest bicycle ride in La Vernia. We started the morning off with a four mile run and then picked up our bikes and hit the road for 13.5 miles. We were all pretty sore the next day, but I’m hoping it will help me prepare a bit more for the 35 miles this upcoming Saturday.
This past Saturday morning it was 93% humidity, still and the air was full of gnats. It was not the most pleasant ride, but looking forward, the weatherman is predicting a beautiful day in the mid-eighties witha 20% chance of rain! It should be much more enjoyable to ride in that type of weather.
Connally has a team of about ten of us riding this Saturday. You can recognize us in our CMMC/Urgent Care jerseys cycling down the road!
Hopefully we will see you out there as we cycle past!
